Ashtanga Yoga is a practice that is practiced all over the world. The Ashtanga Primary Series is a set sequence of moves that will challenge everyone and provide a path for improved stamina and mobility. The primary series is also called “yoga chitta”, or Yoga Therapy, due to its contributions to overall health. This is a led “Half-Primary” class, consisting of opening Sun salutations, portions of the Standing Series, the seated series, and then closing moves, designed to fit within 75 minutes. Suggestions for modifications are provided for students still mastering the individual asanas (poses) in the primary series.
